In Episode 18 of Trigun
Wolfwood arrives at a town where people are trying to clear out, as they have heard that Vash the Stampede is coming. As he visits a bar, he encounters a young woman named Lina, who is being harassed by a guy claiming to be Vash, until another guy, named Erics, begs him to stop. Erics even volunteers to strip naked and beg like a dog in order to save Lina. When he actually does so, Wolfwood has an idea who Erics really is, and when Lina is abducted, they go on a rescue mission.
